Getting Started
How fast can I be live?

Pro: same day. Premium: 24 hours after the strategy call. Elite: 24–48 hours (we need time to ingest your website and docs). A2P SMS registration for new lines takes 1–3 business days regardless of tier — your voice service works immediately.

Do I have to change my business number?

No. You keep your published number. We set up conditional forwarding: your phone rings first for ~3 rings, and if no one picks up, the call rolls to Anchor Point. Your customers never see a new number.

What if I already have call forwarding set up somewhere else?

No problem. We work alongside most VoIP systems (RingCentral, Vonage, Dialpad, Ooma, 8x8, Grasshopper), cell carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile), and most hosted business phone systems. We'll walk you through the exact forwarding codes for your setup on the strategy call.

What The AI Does
Will my callers know they're talking to AI?

If they ask directly, the bot tells them honestly. We don't deceive. But most callers never notice — the voice sounds natural, the conversation flows, and we use a named voice (not "your AI assistant"). Most of your callers will just think you hired a great receptionist.

Can it speak Spanish?

Yes. Automatic detection — if a caller speaks Spanish, the bot switches. All tiers.

Can it book an appointment on the phone, or just take a message?

Pro: takes a message, captures contact info, sends you the details.

Premium / Elite: also books the appointment live on the call, against your real calendar. Confirms with the caller, sends a confirmation text, shows up on your calendar within seconds.

What does it do in an emergency?

Detects urgency keywords (flooding, no heat, smoke, etc.) and immediately escalates: the caller's name, callback number, and full context get sent to you as SMS + email within seconds, and the contact gets tagged "emergency" in your CRM. The receptionist tells the caller "I'm getting the owner alerted right now — expect a callback within minutes." You decide how fast to respond.

We don't bridge the live call. Cleaner for everyone — you call back when you're not on a roof or under a sink, with full context already in hand.

What if a caller asks a question the AI doesn't know?

On Pro and Premium: the bot says "great question — let me have the owner call you back on that," captures the question, and texts it to you.

On Elite: the bot answers from your ingested knowledge base (website, FAQs, pricing docs). If the answer isn't there, falls back to the "owner will call you back" path.

What can't the AI do?

Quote prices on complex or custom jobs (it offers a callback instead). Handle billing disputes (it transfers). Dispatch trucks or roll crews (it takes the info and books). Make promises we can't keep.

Pricing and Billing
What's the one-time setup fee?

Depends on your business. Solo trades: ~$497. Multi-location or heavy custom integrations: $1,500–$2,500. Finalized on the strategy call, never a surprise.

Are there usage caps?

Soft caps at roughly 2x industry average. We alert you before you hit them — no surprise bills. Typical service business doesn't come close.

What happens if I go over my minutes / SMS?

We reach out before any overage hits. You can upgrade the tier or accept a marked-up overage rate (2x our wholesale). Most clients never go over.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Month-to-month, no contracts. Cancel before the end of your 7-day trial and pay nothing. After that, cancel end-of-month, any time.

Do I own my data?

Yes — 100%. All call recordings, transcripts, contact records, appointment data, and prompt configurations are yours. On cancellation we export everything within 30 days and permanently delete it within 90 days. We don't sell data to third parties, ever.

Do you offer refunds?

Trial period is risk-free — cancel before the 7-day trial ends and pay nothing. After that, monthly subscription fees are non-refundable for standard cancellation, but if there's a material service failure in your first 30 days post-trial (more than 24 hours of downtime, failure to answer more than 10% of calls, or systemic failure to escalate emergencies), we'll refund the impacted month. Setup fees are refundable only if we fail to deploy your receptionist within 14 days of kickoff. See Terms for details.

Technical / Compliance
What's A2P 10DLC and do I need it?

A2P = Application-to-Person. It's a federal registration for any phone number that sends automated SMS. We handle the registration — you'll answer ~8 questions during onboarding (legal name, EIN, website, sample messages). Approval takes 1–3 business days. Voice service is unaffected; only outbound SMS to new contacts is gated.

Is the AI HIPAA-compliant? Can it handle medical info?

No — Anchor Point is not HIPAA-compliant and is not built for handling Protected Health Information. Do not use it for medical practices, dental offices, or any business that takes patient health data over the phone. We don't collect or store payment card data through the AI either — that's a separate compliance issue and we steer those conversations to a human.

Do you record calls? What do you do with recordings?

Yes — every call is recorded and transcribed by default. In two-party consent states (FL, CA, CT, IL, MD, MA, MT, NH, PA, WA), the AI announces the recording at the start of the call as required by state law. Recordings are stored on secure infrastructure, accessible only to your private account workspace, retained for 90 days by default (longer on request), and deleted within 90 days of cancellation. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

Does this replace my website chat?

Optional. Our web chat widget uses the same AI brain as the voice bot. Drop-in install on any website (one line of code). Or keep your existing chat and run ours only on the phone.

What if my internet goes down?

Your phone still rings like it always did. Anchor Point runs in our cloud, not on your hardware. If something ever goes wrong on our side (very rare), calls just go back to your original unforwarded behavior.
